This recording documents an improvised live performance at Trigger Shanghai earlier this autumn. Using a combination of self-built instruments and samplers, the performance explores a new form of noise that balances physical intensity with spatial awareness, while still carrying the ethos of Japanoise at its core. It is a work born from the moment, but shaped by long-term inquiry.

Vvekapipo is Kotaro Fukagawa, a Japan-based noise and experimental music artist.

Alongside running a club space and curating an event label called hertz, Kotaro has been developing a personal approach to noise music—one informed by musique concrète and club culture, yet grounded in the raw spirit of Japanoise, regularly performing live at events both in Japan and abroad, whilst also engaged in research and installation work focused on experimental and noise music at Kyushu University
