'Release the Horses' is the advice I once received from my singing teacher.
It became an album, my voice taking its own trajectory. Often being stripped of words; drifting from humming to whispers, from vocals to laments.

Voice was a matter I slowly learned to observe, sculpt, play, and navigate.

Ambient textures of field recordings also are an integral part. They started to teem, to swell. The sounds of ovens, radiators, and fridges I have previously recorded become insects or fields of cicadas.

I picture music as spaces evolving from one room to another. I wanted to create something dark and luminous at the same time, where low frequencies of a bass melt over a whisper, where a vibrating organ invites moaning vocals. 

This album calls for an intimate listening; its mysterious, vulnerable, and
contemplative qualities open to being collected.
