Joke Lanz was born in Basel in 1965. He is a pioneer of the electronic Independent scene and crossover artist whose work spans improvised and experimental music, noise and turntablism, performance art and musique concrète.

He has collaborated, amongst others, with: Shelley Hirsch, Peter Kowald, Christian Marclay, Audrey Chen, Astro, Z’EV, Sophie Agnel, Ken Vandermark, Lasse Marhaug, Mette Rasmussen, Rudolf Eb.er, Strotter Inst., Christian Weber, Charlotte Hug, Mat Pogo, Ute Wassermann, DJ Olive, dieb13, eRikM, Martin Tétreault, Eklekto Ensemble Geneva, Alexandre Babel, Christian Wolfarth, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, GX Jupitter-Larsen, The New Blockaders.

Joke presents, on this short UK tour, a solo voice & noise performance, in association with Harbinger Sounds, supported by the Swiss Arts Council.
